Robin Weinberg produces participatory multimedia oral history projects for communities and nonprofits that harness the power of people’s stories and experiences to build understanding, especially across difference.
With an MA in Oral History, she founded an organization that helps cancer patients record their life stories, works with nonprofits on using oral history for marketing and fundraising, conducts interviews, designs project websites, and teaches oral history to students of all ages.
Most recently, she launched WestportVoices (www.westportvoices.com/), a local multimedia conversation and storytelling project designed to record interviews and illuminate voices from across Westport’s diverse population.
In her free time, she plays racquet sports, bakes and decorates elaborate cakes for family and friends, and is learning, quite horribly, to play the harp, while her husband and three daughters unconvincingly tell her how great it’s going.
