"A Conversation Between Mother and Son" - Mary Shelley writes the last installment
of
Frankenstein's story.

Aside from Frankenstein, where did you draw inspiration for your story?

I'm currently writing two novels with female characters and was most interested in exploring Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's relationship with her writing and her son, along with the added twist of creating a female monster.

All the proceeds from Imagining Monsters anthology sales are going to the WestportWRITES program at the Westport Library, which is a true haven for local writers in Fairfield County, Connecticut. As a writer, where is your haven - where do you write, and what do you need to help you write?

I thoroughly enjoy participating in WestportWRITES events. On days I do not have to leave home for teaching writing and speaking at Sacred Heart University, appointments, or obligations, I write in my office. On days I need to be out, I stay out; writing in Panera (free refills on decaf coffee), Whole Foods (they are open until 10:00 pm), and Westport Library.

What's next on the horizon for you?

Four of my books are in the Westport Library collection: Immersion Travel USA: The Best & Most Meaningful Volunteering, Living & Learning Excursions, winner of the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation’s Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Award in the Best Travel Guidebook Category, and Volunteer Vacations Across America, named on Amazon’s List of Best New Travel Books. Queen of the Kisses and Queen of the Kisses Meets Sam Under a Soup Pot are in the children's section. My newest children's book, Terror in Texas (Bearport Publishing) is due out August 2019. When not working on my own projects, I am a ghostwriter helping professionals write and publish books to promote and establish themselves as authorities in their field for pod casts, speaking engagements, and television and radio interviews. I love writing.
