Matthew P.S. Salinas
is a Jewish/Native American author from Illinois. When not writing, he works as a licensed PTA and received his bachelor's degree from Lewis University in Liberal Arts and then continued on to Fox College. He is currently working on another collection of one hundred one-hundred-word stories. He has published works in horror, microfiction, general fiction, suspense, mystery, and poetry. A lifelong writer since the 5th grade, Matthew has constantly been on a journey to prove himself as an author and provide quality work. He is helped along on his journey by his incredible wife, Jordana, and their two cats, Buffy and Pepper.

An avid fan of coffee, horror literature, and every genre of music known to man, he tries to bring his experiences and ideas to life on the page. He draws inspiration from Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Ayn Rand, and Chuck Palahnuik. He also draws inspiration from his own hardships and difficult childhood. Matthew doesn’t shy away from the dark aspects of everyday life but never lets them define who he is.

When he’s not writing, Matthew enjoys relaxing with books by the fireplace, listening to music, and spending quality time with his wife. He also thoroughly enjoys exercising to help keep himself focused and to keep his mind positive as well as creative.

Matthew looks forward to continuing to be able to provide quality stories and ideas to share with his fellow readers and authors and hopes to inspire others to pick up the pen one day as well.
