Native Westporter Dan Woog is a writer, blogger—and the Staples High School boys soccer head coach. He has written 17 books, and been published in the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and USA Today. His hyperlocal blog, “06880” (tagline: “Where Westport meets the world”) draws more than 10,000 unique visitors a day. His “Woog’s World” column has run in the Westport News since 1986. Dan has won national writing awards for his coverage of soccer, and LGBT issues. His business clients have included IBM, Monster.com and Tauck World Discovery.
